We strongly believe in reducing our impact on the environment and a core initiative is to maximise our recycling of waste products from all our sites. To that end, we separate at source as many recyclable items as possible. Wood, ceramics, glass, hard plastics, metal, cardboard, paper and polythene are all recycled. Even the plant cuttings from Listerhills grounds are recycled as compost.

Our mixed waste is taken to a recovery centre where it is sorted, with leftover waste converted into Refuse Derived Fuel.

In 2021 we had 933 tonnes of waste but only 2.6 tonnes went in to landfill.

Our recycling rate last year was an incredible 99.72%
